When I was in high school, every single day I brought my lunch to school. I can still remember what I ate. It makes sense, since I, a true creature of habit, ate the same thing every day for four years. I was roundly mocked for my same day every lunch, but I didn't care. It did the job it was supposed to, and I could always beg cookies off friends if my meal didn't satisfy me.

To transport this boring but nutritious meal, my mom bought me a series of ugly lunch bags that I either lost, threw away, or left in my locker for so long that they molded and took on a stink that no amount of cleaning could ever fully erase.
